Singapore is well-known for being a "fine city". However this peticular sign caught my interest as there is no indication of the fine (I think it's 1000S$ if you fish here) and it was about 10m away from the water, so not easily spottable.

Bought this Mocchacino at McDonald's and was suprised due to the web-like structure of the chocolate sauce.

Every HDB Block has a number that identifies it within a certain area. These numbers are usually written in big letters on the building, but there's always a sign like this one.

Most flats have aircon today. So sometimes you can see such extremes as on this picture. What makes it quite interesting is the fact, that the building was a smaller 2-storey one.

As I live very far in the west of Singapore, I can usually see nice sundowns here involving the HDB blocks. The sun goes down here at the same time throughout the whole year, not like in Germany where it depends on the seasons.

Taken at Plaza Singapura. As it was a weekday, the mall was not very crowded. On weekends, the situation is totally different.

Sentosa is now accessible through these shuttle trains. Price is the same as last year with the bus, however this shuttle is a bit faster and more convenient. However, of the 3 stops on Sentosa one is totally unneccessary, as it is still a construction site there and probably not accessible until the Casino currently being built there opens. The stations and shuttles are quite small, I wonder if they can handle all those masses that I used to see last year when taking the busses.

This shot was taking a few days after I arrived in Singapore. It's at Bugis Junction where they have this kind of fountain that keeps splashing in different patterns. You can usually see some kids playing there, thanks to the temperature here they don't have to worry very much about getting a cold (except of course if they went inside a shop/mall with the aircons....). The line in this pic obviously aren't fully horizontal, but somehow I think that this creates a nice flair.

Everywhere in Singapore you can see construction sites. This specific site here is next to the Boon Lay MRT and the Jurong Point Shopping Centre and I guess it will be the extension for the Mall. The contruction boom is due to the demand for more housing (the objective is to increase the population from currently 4.6 million to about 6.5 million) and of course the love of Singaporeans for shopping.
